Make sure a folder is selected (folder icon in the toolbar) and an article is chosen in the sidebar. The current version needs an internet connection the first time the editor loads.
In the folder you picked — every article is a plain .md file you can open in any editor. Pasted images live in the assets subfolder next to them.
JackPress autosaves about a second after you stop typing; the toolbar shows the last save time. There is no Save button to forget.
External edits are picked up live and win over unsaved local keystrokes from the same instant. In practice: take turns — your pass, then your co-writer's. Autosave keeps the risky window to about a second.
